2024 T351 Aluminum Plate is a high strength aircraft grade aluminum sheet commonly used for structural parts of aircraft. It has excellent formability, weldability and corrosion resistance. The 2024 alloy is composed of copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, zinc, titanium and aluminum and is heat treatable for increased strength. It is a viable choice for applications in the aerospace industry, including wing skins, fuselage frames and bulkheads. The 2024 T351 Aluminum Plate has a thickness range of 10-150mm and its mechanical properties include excellent tensile strength of 310-430MPa, yield strength of 180MPa, and elongation of 10%. Its chemical composition consists of copper between 3.8-4.9%, iron at 0.50%, manganese between 0.30-0.90%, magnesium between 1.2-1.8%, zinc at 0.25%, titanium at 0.15%, and aluminum making up the remainder. 2024 T351 Aluminum Plate can be used in the manufacture of aircraft components for its high strength, excellent formability and outstanding corrosion resistance.
